I was looking at thezstore.com, and I noticed these..

Has anyone bought these before? Is the quality any good? Pictures? I guess it's not only for the pillar trim, but it also comes with pieces to cover the A-pillar behind the side view mirrors too.

Considering that carbon fiber only comes in black, I'm gonna guess these are a little suspect.

 

yeah, the silver is actually hexcel texalium cloth. though you could make a hybrid carbon/kevlar cloth. but i am pretty sure those parts in silver CF are not the hybrid cloth.

 

thanks for the replies so far guys. I read somewhere else on this site that thezstore.com had pretty good quality stuff. So, if this isn't good quality, where else online can I buy quality Z items?

I noticed black CF pillar covers on eBay, but I'm leary about getting quality stuff on ebay.

 

I have ordered from 350zsource before and they are good quality. If you want the b pillar you can get them from Intense who are also very good but as far as the a pillar by the mirrors this is the only place Ive seen carry them.

 

CF comes in other colors besides black dood.

I'm still pretty sure that true carbon fiber is black only. There is some not-so-legit advertising going on that represents itself as CF. Check out this site. They call the colors CF, but when you look at the description, they say "made from real glass fibers", where the black says, "made from real carbon fibers".
I may be completely wrong, but I think there's some advertising trickery (lying) going on.
