i would do none of both...save your money and get some "real" parts.

I don't think that elia is overpriced, they are all high pressure polyurethane and no ****ing fiberglass...that's why I had chosen them

 

Tint. All cars look better with tint.

 

your rims are 17"? The original posters rims are as small as they get..

 

Dude do the tint. Your car looks kinda odd enough with that wing and those wheels and no drop. A lip will make it look worse/gawdy.

I was going to say tint but than I saw your wing. I would get the lip first to compliment your wing.

There were a lot good points pointed in this thread, I think I am going to do the tint now as most of the members suggested me (poll result) .. well, I got quotes from two places and both quoted me for $220... I am going to decide tomm which one I should go to ...

I was set on 20% untill I saw a G with lighter tint and looked really nice... I don't know, I am still debating.. I'll most likely go with 20% ...

one of my friend told me to ask them if they are going to use metallic or (something other)... he said that using certain tint will interfere with my radar detector since police beam wont penetrate through the rear window... anyone have a clue what I am talking about?

well, I will have $80 left over since my budget was $300..so, this money will go into lip fund but it won't be done till I get the wheels.... many suggested that I should get rims first and then lip...

$220 really? I can get my whole car done for $100-$150 around here. You should shop around more.

I have a ZR and was only going to get my two side windows done(dont have the small ones in the back) and they were only going to charge me $50.

I bet if you tried you could get a lip and tint for a little bit over budget.

 

Even in my moms car, it was done for 160$ and her car is a big sedan 4dr. It should cost you nowhere more then 160$ for the tint. Unless you are getting some really high end tint. I say tint it first. Then you only need to save another 150$ for the lip. The lip will cost you 300$+ and then you gotta have money to paint the lip also.

 

I have tried 3 shops and they all wanted 200+. One is giving me lifetime warranty, one is giving me 3 years warranty, other none. My bro just got his Lancer done, $270.. .... tint is very expansive in my area...

I drive 90% highway driving so I think I'll be ok with the tint... I had 20% on my previous car ... And, cops in the atlantic city are soo busy with other stuff, they don't care about little things , which is a good thing

 

Tint was done about a month ago as per poll result .....I drove 85 miles from Atlantic City to Shades of Gray which is located in Feasterville, PA ..... they are some great car enthusiasts .... we talked about our cars (my friend also brought his 08 135i) like 15 mins before even they started working on our cars ... I would highly recommend you guys to give them a visit if it's close for you go there ....

I got 20% all around ... you can see my car in their pic gallary here My 350Z I wanted to get lighter like 30% but I have astigmatism and can't really tolerate bright light ...... what do you guys think? oh btw, since that I have added rear mud guard
