all good infos, thanks, going to do some research of my own and see if there is a regular cf hood that is lighter than stock other than spending arm and a leg for dry carbon hoods.
what do you guys think about carbon kelver hoods. does anyone own one?

besides the hood costing more (and weighing more) than the dry carbon fiber, pretty much an overplayed mod that belongs more on a honda than a Z

Really? I always thought the Carbon Kelvar weighed less than just an average CF . have to look more into that

you could probably count on one or 2 fingers how many carbon kevlar hoods there are anyway - and pricing will be significant

driving with no hood is lighter then any cf hood on the market.

NP, but I don't know the weight of the hood. You might get that info from Bulletproof, they're a direct dealer.

thanks jim, but i wanted the hatch to be painted to color match with the rest of my car. i also have a nismo v1 spoiler, does it sit flush with the added bump on the mastergrade hatch?

Your nismo spoiler wont work with the hatch, but it is offered in fiberglass for $600 picked up if you planned on painting.

My TS hood rubs the brake/battery cover if I have the rain guards installed, thankfully my car never sees the rain so I removed them. It's really cool looking into the vents and seeing my red BOV. =)





Fitment was ok, I had to use a dremel and file on the hood latches, and move the front latch as high as it could go, I still have some minor issues with rubbing up front, but its not bad at all, I need to add a strip of clear plastic where the hood meets the bumper cover and call it a day.
