Default Carbon fiber...who has laid their own?

Planning on laying down some CF on my roof and a few other pieces. Been doing a lot of online research as far as epoxies and what not. Anyone here done their own work? Buddy of mine has decent experience with fiberglass, so he'll be helping me. A couple square yards shouldn't be more than $125 or so, which is way less than a proposed $600-$800 for a premade roof cap which is still in the works.

Laying the CF itself is not hard, per se... I have done a few small pieces myself. Its getting the clear coat looking good that is a b!tch. I certainly would not attempt to do something like my roof, myself.

Just make sure you add the UV protectant to the resin....esp. to a part like the roof...good luck..

negative, 2 weeks or so. They just hired a new mold guy to help out with some of these projects. We still don't know about the sunroof yet. We may end up selling them as a full cap and having you cut around your sunroof.

Check my last post.

They are making the roof cap, new trunk, and hood but won't release them until they are all complete.
