Default How to remove / disable alarm from car.

Sup guys,

well the electronic forums been dead.... so I figured I'll ask here. Well i'm pretty much annoyed of my car alarm, which I think was one of my worse buys for my car. I have a Viper 5900 alarm and I want to remove it from my car. If i cant remove from my car, then disable it.

The alarm has a kill switch option.

How do I disable the alarm permanently so I can just use my OEM remote again?

the alarm itself doesnt have to be removed since its hidden. I just want it the way i bought it...without an aftermarket alarm.

Thank you

Why don't you just disarm your alarm and just use your factory remote then. This shouldn't even be an issue unless you have active arming on or something.

its active arming and the alarm remote is BIG. the battery in the alarm also dies quick..and i'm just annoyed of it cause the alarm isn't all that great either

Can I just unplug the constant power input wire (it's a red wire ~ dunno if it would be the same for other alarms)....and that will just not give power to the alarm no more?

Here is an idea. Turn active arming off. Problem solved.
