5% tint...can you see??oh yes..yes I can
I just wanted to let people know how 5% tint works out on the Z. Main reason being is I have read that quite a few people say you just cant see out of the car at 5%...unless you are half blind I have to say this just isnt true.
I just went from 20% to 5% a few days ago. It does all the obvious, keeps the car darker inside, looks slick on the outside, and noticably keeps the inside cooler. I'v been driving it the last couple days through daylight and complete night.
Eh, I'll keep this short...You see what you need to see( cars during the day and cars and lights during the night)...5% is not to dark to go.

5% is pretty damn dark when you need to reverse at night, I'm sure its near if not very impossible to look through your rear window, at night reversing. But other then that, I'm sure it's fine. It sucks having to roll your windows down, and looking outside to reverse at night though., Plus some states check for tint legal % when you are doing inspection, I don't feel like being hassled.

I have 5% tint at the rear only because I don't like people looking what's in the trunk.
Parallel parking at night is a little tricky unless the street is very well lit.
However, I'm sure 5% all around looks good.

no offense but that's a silly post...you are basically saying that you don't personally mind 5% tint. I guess: OK??? I have 5% on my rear window/20% on my side windows, and I personally don't mind it but I can see how it would bother someone else. Saying that it isn't too dark to go is just your opinion. I could just as well say "20s aren't too big" and it would mean nothing. Not trying to be a dick, just sayin.

Im sorry guys I might have offended a few saying you would have to be half blind not to be able to see out of 5%.
But really though, I havent had any issues yet. With the old 20% all around I could see perfect.
In the end it was mainly so people couldnt pear in and see what I have in my car.
I think when it comes time for black rims the tint will really help compliment them on the upper half of the car.
