Isn't the silver on a Blitz spoiler too? One of the ones he mentioned to GET in his post? Or is the Silver one his example of what to do? I'm confused...

I'm a fan of the OEM and Blitz though. Both can pull off a clean look.

I dont care if its a ferarri with that spolier they are ricer! and second of all the nismo dosent need that spolier. You can achieve the downforce with a different style. Those huge wings ruin a Z!

Wings work on some cars.... You have to strike a nice balance. If your going to put a wing on I think you need an agressvie set of wheels and a body kit. No body kit = No Wing! I had my car finished with no wing and remember it looked terrible without a wing. I had the wing siting around and added it. It was a big improvement.

It's your car, it's your money and your final decision. Do what you like and what you think makes you happy. IMO any nismo authentic/replica spoilers really looks good on a Z. If you happen to get one post a picture here when you get 'em installed, cool?...

trust me, I was like you at first about the spoiler on a nismo z! I did not like it at all.
But after seeing some pics of member that have nismo without the spoiler, I changed my mind. I did not say that the spoiler was beautiful or anything, I stand correct that a nismo Z NEEDS that spoiler to complete its look.

Downforce is not the center of this discussion. Plus, it's not like we drive 100+ miles on the street in order to need downforce help.

Do a little search for some pics of a nismo car without the spoiler, you will know what I am talking about.

i agree. and to me, i always thought a spoiler was sort of "Teenie Boppish" rather than something the mature gentleman would have. i'm not getting one on my new Z.

If you don't have the performance to back up the look, then it's rice. Plain & simple.

The Type-E Nismo spoiler I have in those pics puts down about 300 pounds of downforce at 70mph in the high downforce position. It has two adjustable positions to set angle of attack.

Unless you have a nice body kit, rims, etc...I'd say don't go with anything more than a real inconspicuous lip.

Personally, I don't like spoilers--at all. Wings, spoilers, lips, etc. make the car look tall and (IMHO) ridiculous. We (most of us anyways) spend so much $$$ trying to give our car a low profile and squated look...then to break more bread on a wing/spoiler?

To top it all off (no pun intended), they [spoilers/wings/etc] can only be functional at crazy high speeds--if anything.

I've yet to see a "classy" or "tasteful" wing. Some lips are cool and may go well with certain cars. I just like the really clean look of a bare hatch. To each their own.
