Roadster Top Has White Dots from Bodyshop - How to Clean it off?
To make a long story short, I had my passenger door re-painted because someone scuffed the side of my door in a parking lot (wonderful thing to find when you go to your car after work
)
I took it to the body shop, and when all was said and done I picked it up and a lot of white dust/particles was on the black soft top. I asked them what the hell this stuff was, and they told me it would come out with some soap and water. I was concerned it was primer or something of that sort. Why the hell didn't they cover it to protect it before doing the work on the door. Grrr.
I put some dish soap in a bucket with water, scrubbed it and its still there.
What the hell is is? And how do I get it off? I have a feeling I need to make a trip back to the body shop with a very angry face.

I can't believe that a professional auto body shop would not mask off all areas that could possibly be hit by overspray.
Maybe try some convertible top cleaner such as 303 or Raggtopp and scrub with a brush designed for the soft top. Don't know if that would work, but it's worth a try. You also might post this in the roadster forum.
