I have a Sparco Harness Bar, it attaches to the shoulder Belt bolts...it works ok without having to drill holes in the car. The bad news is that they are about $500

$500 just for a harness bar!! i would have just bought 4 point roll bar from auto power or kirk racing.

Yeah, but you'll have that added weight and you'll have to wear a helmet to daily drive your Z . . . all depends what you'd use your car for.

using harnesses on the street isn't really a good idea either though

Okay since no one is explaining why it's a bad idea I will.

If you're going to be using this for racing, in conjunction w/ a harness, most organizations/leagues will not pass it.

On the street it shouldn't really be passed either.

W/ the regular factory belt, in the event of a rollover it allows your upper body/dome to move to one side or the other so the roof doesn't break your neck.

If you have a harness bar/ harness setup and no cage, you're strapped in good. You're not gonna be able to move and the moment a rollover happens you're more than likely going to crush your skull or break your neck.

You'd be better off going w/ a 4pt weld in type roll bar that will more than likely have a spot for harnesses, protect you in a rollover, and cost about the same (up front) as a harness bar. That's just my opinion though, and what I plan to do.

Yep 4 pt at least.

I've got a custom cage just waiting to be welded into my '69 stang when I get the chance. (Then again it's been sitting out of the car for a year and a half)

Stickier tires.....If we're talkin straights, go w/ some Hoosier or MT's....if we're talking curves, I'm still trying to decide.

I assumed you were talking about the Z in case it wasn't really built for the straights and im a HUGE corners kinda guy, so anything thats sticky as hell with a stiff sidewall will work for me. Still figuring out the right tire and suspension combo, but it's working out really well. The last ting I want to do is decapitate myself with an inadequate roll bar design lol.

For what you spent on a body kit, wheels and the sound system you probably could have had a Civic.

its 4 point roll bar not roll cage. its located behind your seats. the exact position of the roll bar would be by the B pillar or right behind it. you'll have to put those cushions or pads around the bar.
