You mean your 05 Z is a BASE model. My Enthusiast 05 came with HID's.

Yes there is something wrong with them and if you think otherwise, you are just naive..

Also 8000K is beyond a poor choice; so we have double fail

No there really isnt actually. Please explain your theory.I bought an HID conversion for my 08 gixxer and it works PERFECTLY, and its bright as hell..even comes with a waranty...only thing he shoulda done differntly was go with a 6000k..woulda been a little whiter..

HID is all about putting the most light on the road, not the most color...

8000K is a huge fail

buying off brand capsules is a risky business. Unless they are osram/sylvania or hella/phillips, you can all be garauntee'd they will fail prematurely. But they have a warranty you say... who cares if you have a warrantied piece of ****. How does the warranty help you when the capsules explode in your housings?

off brand HID setup is a huge fail

i disagree. my z has the factory HIDS but in my sentra se-r i put in 8000k HIDS from ebay that cost 70 dollars. Never had a problem with them once, and i saw much better than i did with the factory halogens. i know many people who ordered the same ones and only one person had a bulb problem, and they replaced it with the warranty no problem. i don't see much of a difference between the kits people pay 250 or 300 for and the 70 dollar ones that people use. they more expensive ones might outlast the cheaper ones, but if the expensive ones were to last you five years and the cheaper ones two years, you would still be saving money by using the cheaper ones.
