I am using my fourth windshield. I guess I care more about my car than davidv as I replace it every 20,000 miles.

 

i need to get mine replace.... stupid trucks

 

do most of the replacement windsheilds have the dot matrix above the mirror?

 

About to go for number two in 2 years

 

so far i've had to replace it once... but it wasnt due to gravel. As i was driving across the US i made the mistake of stopping at a quick wash... little did i know that the brush/sponges had picked up small rocks from previous vehicles and gave my car a wonderfull just roughsanded look to include my front windshield and sunroof. Luckily my comprehensive covered everything but my $200 deductable so i got my clearcoat stripped and then a fresh clear applied. first and last time ill ever use an automatic car wash with brushes on any of my cars.
