Cracked Windshield. To fix? or Replace? pics!
Ok so after searching I found that most people have had their windshield replaced for around $200. My insurance quoted me $280 for their special affiliate glass shop fix! lol I talked to a guy at this place that fixes up to twenty inch cracks for $65. He said the crack would be stopped and "less noticeable".
My question is: Does anyone have any experience with these shops? and if so how much less noticeable is "less noticeable" if that makes sense. I don't wanna throw money away if after the fix it still looks like ****. The crack is on the bottom and doesn't affect my driving. However it does look extremly hideous and I can't stand it.
Thank you for all your help in advance!

Just looked at your story and am glad to hear AAA was able to get you helped out! Thats funny because USAA (my insurance) wanted to use the same company that you did! I will definetly steer clear of them.

So the shop that does the repair is www.sgwr.com
Here is a snipet from their site on the repair procedure I was referrring too.

Using our exclusive repair system which utilizes nearly 30 inches of vacuum and precise pressure increments, we inject our exclusive SuperGlass resin into the glass damage, restoring the strength and transparency of the glass, without having to remove the windshield from the vehicle.
SuperGlass is constantly improving the technology of windshield repair- even in the last year our resins and equipment have improved over our already industry-leading quality.

Florida law provides the windshield waiver to encourage immediate replacement of windshields without cost to the insured.

you cant fix that crack. it has to be replaced.. i do auto glass so i know..
you can only repair rock chips. and even when you do, you will still be able to see the rock chip there but it helps from spreading to cracks. once it cracks, you need to replace it

NOTICE: MAKE SURE THEY KNOW HOW TO TAKE YOUR A PILLARS OFF (with removing weather strip and unscrewing screws and then pop the rivets)!!!!!!!! I had this done today for a cracked windshield and the MORON BROKE BOTH of my A Pillars! Luckily he is going to replace them after I about ripped him a new A$$ bc he said it wasn't his job to replace them. I was heated. It was a glass company given to me by my allstate insurance and they assured me they knew what they were doing, but they were wrong!
