the front of it is flush with the bottom of the pumpkin. the second pic at my fisrt post is about the best i can do with pic quality, lol. the diffuser starts about 1-2" after the pumpkin.

function of this piece was been well thought through. cutting of the rear bumper is required and shortens the distance off the top of the bumper for a cleaner return of airflow. it expands in 2 directions, in slope and width, thus increasing the venturi effect to create a low pressure under the car. ultimately, for the best effects and performance, exhaust tubes should come out in the middle of the bumper and rear diffuser widened. but, this is about the best i have seen with keeping stock lines.

I thought you were selling the car? I guess you kept it because of no buyers?

that thing looks amazing. i just bought the topsecret/mastergrade diffuser, and i would strongly consider sellin it for this. I also thought about fabricating my own to extension piece w/ cf to my topsecret rear diffuser kinda like the gtr undercarriage.

bump for undercarriage pic

BTW, Top Secret & Mastergrade does NOT use Wind Tunnel testing. And I am doubtful that Varis does either. just fyi

ya, don't need to sell it, and really don't want to. just really digging on the 03+ vipers. i will not let it go for the prices some have let their built tt cars go for. if nobody wants to pay my price, i will just have to tough it out and keep staring at it in the garage, lol. btw- it still only has about 400 miles on tires, engine, clutch, and turbos!

ya, i have been balancing on the fence of getting that diffuser. i had already cut my rear bumper center section out though and fresh paint made me not want to start over with a new stock rear.
i tried to incorporate the vortex generators into some side pieces i made, but it came out looking abit like a space ship and to aggressive for me. would look good on a dedicated track car though and they again went under the car right up to the rear suspension. heres a couple pics of the obomination-

the nismo rears came out looking abit less aggressive and flowed better with the car.

i will look into having a sheet metal shop reproduce them and see the cost. i really don't have much extra time to build a lot of them. i will see what it will cost to make 10 and see if it is worthwhile. but, you will have to cut out the center section of the rear bumper to fit it. would have no idea which exhausts would or would not work. all i know is my svrtech one does, lol

you could do it with any other material other than alum. or, just have the lip on the top portion is all, and not the sides
