well been planning to do this for some time, and finally got around to it. the diffuser goes all the wat to flush with the pumpkin and uses the lower 2 bolts as the front mounts. in the rear it fastens to the rear bumper brace. so in other words, this thing will hold hundreds of pounds of pressure all day long! it is all alum and weighs only a few pounds. infunction, it should work better than anything else i have seen for the Z.

Personally do not like it. But the wheel/height set up is amazing!!!

 

goes under the car alot further than most or the others and expands both on the sides and the slope, increasing the low pressure under the car, and will control the air better with the deep fins.
it is merely an assumption it will work better, but with everything listed above, it is a safe assumption.

 

if i did decide to make more, it would prolly be out of frp or cf. far easier and faster than bending up the alum smoothly and consistently. i will see how much response comes from this thread.

thanks, the front came out abit low though, lol. only about 2" off the ground. afraid to drive it!

 

How many hours did you put into it?

 

only have about 5-6 hours into it. materials cost is about $55. it is put together with small pan head allen bolts and not rivets, so it will not vibrate loose. i painted mine, but would powder coat in the future or if i made them for others. hardest part was getting the radiused edges of the main piece. can't use a brake, you just have to bend it around something while keeping the angles the same and symetrical.

 

Now that is some hella cool fab work indeed imo.

hood material: cf or frp?
hood struts: brand......link?

and that front end is really low... have you ever gone over a speed bump with that lol?
