Default 2005 Nav screen lid

I've got a question that I'm having a hard time figuring out the answer to from the service manual or google. I have been working on installing a pc into my '05 z, which includes replacing the stock nav screen with a 7" touchscreen. However, now that I'm putting everything back together again, I notice the nav lid no longer closes when you press the button or turn the car off. I've checked the connector, and it has power, so does the lid for some reason require the nav screen or controls to be connected ( I can't really imagine this being the case) or have I somehow destroyed the motor in taking out the center console and then replacing it? Any ideas?

Hmm thats a good one, i'm not sure. Hope someone knows because I may be installing a PC into my Z as well in that spot. But I don't have factory nav so it may not make a difference.

I actually have the manual door from an '03 as well, but after seeing the color difference I wanted to try and use the door from my car. I really hope that someone can come up with the solution cause I'm SO close to having everything assembled, and this last glitch is driving me crazy.

That's the one I'm using. PC and power supply along with most of the other components go in the glove box behind the passenger seat, with a 7" touch screen in place of the nav and then tying into the bose headunit for sound.
