Tips for painting on my Ings+1 carbon fiber hood
Hey guys, I am having some airbrushing done on my new Ings+1 cf hood later this week. I wanted to double check to be sure that I know exactly what needs to be done, and not done, with the prep work.
I read through the Carbon Talk thread that is sticky'd in this section, and it looks like I can wetsand without too much trouble? I was told wetsanding with 600 grit should work fine.
I was also told that the hood may not have a clear coat on it, that it may just be resin right now? If that's the case, will there be any issues with having the hood cleared after the paint goes on?
Thanks for the help guys. I did some research, but I just want to be extra careful and make sure I get as much info as possible before I do this.
Btw, if anyone missed it, here's the thread with the pics of the car how it sits now. I'll post some pics of the airbrushing next week!
