I think thats the flux capacitor's vent ports, without them, your Z will actually implode instead of traveling back to the future when you hit 88MPH, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually he's only puttin' down 422hp to the wheels with al the chrome vents...if he added those three ports to his fender he could easily get beyond 600 rwhp....and still keep his stock exhaust.( for back pressure )

I saw that youtube video. Notice the jerk is still on stock rims/tires with ">400bhp at the wheels?!" I dont' think so. And with all that phat forced induction and blower, how could stock exhaust be better?!
I think the side vents on the first post have ducts directed to the seats to blow smoke up your A$$
