Default would you buy it if I make it...

I planned to release some of these items on monday, but materials did not perform as expected, meaning I need to use different more expensive materials. but before I spend this startup money, I want to know if they have merit.

1. New reflector design, all custom fabricated to allow for perfect illumination of 2 colors(amber and white). also using a relay to turn the white off when the amber comes on(turn signal). total LEDs is 36 per reflector, 18 of each color in each reflector. appearance when off would be completely stock, and should retain the ability to reflect light as well. the design of this is pretty intricate to acheive this.

this is a complete replacment, not a conversion. The lens could be made to any color I wanted as a result. this includes SMOKED(no amber if I choose) amber, and clear. as well as any other color I really want. (estimated cost ~200$/pair)

2. Side emblem signal, this too would be a complete replacement. it would be black where the stock one is black, and clear(silverish) on the Z and outer rim. the clear sections will glow(they can glow any color I can find an LED in). no modification to the body work.(estimated cost ~75$/pair)

3. Tail light. Ive posted photos of the quasi plan for this, basicly overall the tail light would move much closer to that of the concept Z. using LEDs to illuminate in a grid across the surface. this is also a vauge plan; would be a complete replacement most likely. (estimated cost ~4-500$ a pair)

4. Headlight. this is much less sure than the first 2 plans. but the idea is to possibly change the entire shape of the housing, clear reflector strip is certainly in the plan, as well as possibly having a smoked strip. overall, this is little more than a future plan at this time, but if it did happen, would you want it. (no cost known)

5. turn signal enabled side view mirrors, this might include lighting on the front side, or in the glass, not certain. no idea on cost, but does the idea sound interesting?

6. interior lighting for trunk area, strip of LEDs in a housing to help light the trunk area.

7. polyurethane body kit mimicing that of the JGTC race car, minus the wide body.

basicly the products would come in that order, one funding the next. the first one coming out in approximately a month(could be sooner)

if you dont think youd be in for any of these, or the ideas have no merit, let me know. I dont want to waste my time chasing products that no one even has an interest in.

2,4, and 6 sound really great. I really LOVE 2, is it like the one on the z4? would like it in amber, not clear, but it sounds great.

the clear could be amber, but Im assuming itd be better to have it glow amber rather than be amber all the time, but eh, if there was a demand for amber instead of clear, its not impossible.

#1 and #4... after seeing the clearcorners.com lights a while back, I decided I wouldn't get any lights til I could afford those. if you could make these similar to those I would be all over it (as long as cost was around 600 for everything)...

oh yeah, Id guess 50-60hp atleast :P

this is the very very rough prototype of the tail light. obviously far far from completion, just a general idea of what Im trying to acheive.

the new design for these is about as far as you can get from clearcorners. they are not a modification, they are/will be a new peice; and as such, it allows me to have a whole lot of flexability in the design.

I know that it will take a lot of R&D plus personal investment, but demos of finalized/prototype products will help us better assess the plausibility of a purchase. I am interested in what you are proposing, but we really should see what exactly your design schematics are if not the prototype products. If you have any sketches, that would help.

I'm interested in 1 and 2. No bodywork needed for the Z signals? Are there holes there already for wiring?

actually yes... there are 2 holes basicly for "locator" holes and perhaps a little additional support. but since we are talking about complete replacement I can actually put the wiring IN the pins to come through the body all neat, and no worry of the pins rubbing the wire against the bodywork end eventually shorting out as might happen if the wire just ran along side the pin.

I too would be interested in #2, but I think you already know that. I haven't had time to work on my own, due to trying to get a job first (hey I gotta set priorities), but if yours comes out before I can start and look good...
