Default Aftermarket seats / rails needed??

Can someone give me a quick rundown on what i'd need to purchase in order to put aftermarket seats in my 07? I know there are rail kits but are they diff for every car?
One of my problems with the base seats is that they do not offer the leg support needed and much of my weight is on my heel. I'll also be tracking the car every 2 months or so and need a seat to accept my 6pt harness.
I've mounted seats before but it's always been in order cars and the seats had rails on them.

Thx

really depends on the seat manufacturer but generally speaking

seat, base, slider are the basic ingredients. Some manufacturers only sell preassembled bases with sliders. Other manufacturers sell everything alacarte (though all are needed). Bases are different driver to passenger side, and with some manufacturers, different from automatic to manual transmission

^^^ basically what he said. it all depends on the brand. IMO i would stick with the same brand for all parts instead of retro-fitting

The factory seat rails will not bolt up to aftermarket seats. In many cases (such as mine) the vendor will have the seats but you will have to wait for the rails, Bride & Sparco are notorious for not having seat rails in-stock stateside. So make sure when you buy the seats, that the vendor has the correct seat rails for your vehicle in-stock.
Also beware, as mentioned above, that if the seat rails are not the same as the manufacturer of the seat, they may not bolt up correctly (I found out the hard way when I was young & cheap!).
