Did anyone order the lambo door kit yet?
Was wondering if anyone has ordered the lambo door kit from carxs.com yet? On the website, it says that you can order it now.
Tried emailing them a couple of times and still no response from them about shipping to Canada. Therefore, I am a little worried about their customer service.

I ordered it over one month ago and no luck. They keep saying it's delayed. They give me a new date and then it gets pushed back everytime. Still waiting with a promise by the end of the month.

of course you guys do REALIZE that this door mod is not for a car that is daily driven? I was the first, yeah it does look good eyes going when you pop up the doors in a parking lot. But its a pain to get in and out as fellow my350z.com member I must say think 3X before you get this mod especially if the Z is your ONLY car.

I think you just want to be the only one that has them.
Seriously, tho... I've seen doors like these on other cars at shows. You definitely don't want them on a daily driver.

mcduck: yeah it was nice to be the 1st and the only for quite some time. but believe me this is a mod that you dont want to do if the Z is your only car. it seems that you know what i mean by that when u saw all of those lambo doors at the show circuit.
it seems that carxs has this project going check this link:

I dunno how true it is but according to carxs that nice black Z with the VeilSide ver 3 body kit and the lambo doors belong to a guy with a Z as a last name. How fitting for him to drive a Z lol. Im talking about Jay Z and no im not kidding

looks really cool, but I agree with the not a daily driver comment.
My son and I looked at a Lambo a couple years ago ( a Diablo).
I am 6-2, and my son 6-1. we figured that we would need a forklift and a sling to get in. Really looked cool, but no way.
(we ended up getting an F40- still a pain to get over the wide sill plate, but with a wide conventional door you can get in if there is no one parked next to you.)
Our new redline Z is a definite step up in comfort, but not as fast.... but it is faster than my son's Porsche!

Currently I drive my Z daily. With the Z kit the door swing open wide enough before lifting for me (6'2" 225lbs) to easily get in and out. Really the only time you lift the doors is for show or showing off.
As far as wind noise, there is none. The door opens and closes just like stock. The window still lowers slightly and raises when opening and closing.
The lambo door kit is not functional, it adds weight, and is not practical. But it's cool as hell IMO. I had to have it

big bad-
well, it is one of those things.... once well past 40, some of the things one wanted when they were younger can sometimes be realized.
I have drooled over the Ferrari 250 GTO (of the 250 GT_ series- only 39 were made). One went for auction several years ago for I believe 10.5Million... so this is clearly out of the question. But, I did get to follow one home once, and saw one on display- keeps the dream alive.

Are you all saying that its difficult to get in and out of? I' m only 5'6", you think i'd still have a problem? I've never gotten in our out of doors like this, but it doesn't seem THAT bad...
