I would swap out the tail lights for the JDM LED ones and have them lightly smoked out.

I don't think it's been done on JDM ones yet, however I have seen different shades of smoke on the USDM lights.

I'm thinking about someone's suggest to tint the jdm clear tails... What do you think? it might look better than the usdm tails because there's less red, and my car's color scheme is monochromatic now.

ok guys John at Holt Wheels is insisting that he send the car down to PPG's building 5 minutes down the road so have them spray it themselves in their territory. The finish is apparently rough to the touch, with a couple specs of strange "debris" on the hood and they don't know why. He's really good an has been painting for 30 years, does porsches/lambos etc and this has never happened. PPG rep keeps buying John lunch and stuff cause he's sweating bullets about their paint not turning out right....

We'll see they have a week or so...... Sharif wants to get my car finished asap cause he has more time than usual this week only.

He's retiring the forged track Z to race the GTR and I'm getting his BBK and tein coilovers for a nice price. muahhahaha

what happened op

I have a similar set up I went semi-gloss instead of satin. It only took a few weeks and My shop used PPG paint also. They just flattened the clear, I love the finish...

I am changing the body kit, suspension and wheels now to make it more aggressive.

Man those satin looks are nice. I'm going in next week for a new paint job, I just don't have the ballz to go satin on Lamans Sunset.

You didn't remove the spoiler before you painted? The original color will be underneth there!

phenforum yea the clear they use for these types of finishes is tricky to work with, even an experienced guy can have issues with it. I got some minor things I need redone on my car as well. In a weird way the imperfections on our types of finishes are more easily seen in the nighttime and moonlight as opposed to sunshine and daytime with regular cars, that's what I noticed.

snaponbrian it's not a flat finish, it's a satin clear, so yea I guess that's right in between flat and gloss. I went with PPG Lamborghini color code Balloon White, topped off with a satin clearcoat I forget what brand exactly my guy used..... yours Z looks amazing man, nice work, good to see these types of finishes, and even with the base color being a regular white or black it's such a unique look for our cars

illudezion yea I didn't bother removing the spoiler because I had it molded onto the trunk. Also because I have no plans at all on removing the wing since it's a rare authentic DataSystems wing I would never sell.
