Default Noob Headlight Question

hey guys....i have a problem with my headlights....i have those stress marks all over the lens and im starting to get the haze....and im not paying 1600 for headlights from nissan.... so i went on ebay to look for them and i found these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...Q5fAccessories

my questions is, those are projector lights and i have Xenon HID....will my ballasts just bolt on and i can have HID's or once i get those i wont have HID's anymore? Any insight?

I wouldnt order those if I were you. Your going to end up having the same troubles with those. They are cheap for a reason.

My recommendation is to just order a used set of OEM headlights, I sold my 04s that were clear bra'd with no chips or haze for $300 shipped.... THere are good deals out there.... Be patient and keep an eye out in the lighting classifieds....

Or. GO with 08's the Bi-xenon is MUCH better lighting and look wise..

Goodluck

i had them tinted with the film you put over them....it looked nice...not noticeable at all, buuut...when it rained and it was dark, the lighting sucked and i saw better with the lights off and just using streetlights as my guide.

i gota check my local pep boys or auto zone, but anyone know of how i can get rid of the oxidation on them? i dont want to wet sand cuz im worried i might screw something up, but if that works best, what the hell.

I was at my local Hyundai dealer and apparantly they have a service in which they'll fix that problem. Now, I am not sure if Nissan does as well. However, I am sure if you google it locally you may find someone that does. Good luck ...

Are you still under warranty? If the headlights havent been modified and your still under warranty then the dealer will swap them out...

Im guessing your out of warranty since its an 03 but... figured I would ask...

ok so here are the pictures.....

and then of course, can do all that work without the essentials....

and this is how it came out after....

there is still some marks on my headlight from deeper oxydition, but ALOT better than what it was before. i highly recommend PlasticX if you just have minor fading to get it like new....do not let it get to you and take your time.

i guess not i dont need the headlights....i can deal with it this way...haha
