Will the VIS carbon 08 oem hood fit on a 06? i've heard they will but has anyone done it or had problems?

 

yes, it will fit. but no idea bout the quality of fittment.

Don't waste your money on Vis garbage. I'd highly recommend Seibon or better yet Mastergrade OEM hoods. They are of MUCH higher quality.

I'm not a fan of VIS either but its the only one I could find with 08 oem style. All other carbon oem style hoods I found were the 06 style

 

there are two styles. 03-06 and 07+. The 07+ hoods have the hump, which your '08 also does.

Seibon, Mastergrade, Asuka, Top Secret etc all make '07+ hoods. Seibon, Mastergrade, and Vis are the only ones to make OEM.

I got a VIS oem style hood. I've had no fitment issues at all. I've actually heard more people having problems with the 07-08 Seibon hoods than VIS. As for the "quality" of the hood it seems fine to me... I can't imagine what quality differences there will be because it's not like you're comparing fiber glass with carbon overlay to dry carbon. Just my .02
