Default RECARO SPG seats installed

well, this labor day weekend i wasn't able to go to the d-1 drift in socal, so i decided to get my recaros installed at a friend's race shop: CONVERSION TECHNIQUES in oakland, ca.

they deal with mostly PORSCHE, BMWS, and Formula cars. but they love on working on other cars too. they love the Z, especially the 350Z.

CONVERSION TECHNIQUES is the RECARO, SPARCO, H&R, and BBS distributor in Northern California. So if you want any of these products, give John Sau a call. tell him John Mendoza with the 350z sent ya.

anyways, enjoy some of the race car pix and my install pix.

1st pic is of an M3 PTG race car. my favorite car at their shop.

here is brando222. he is sitting in the bmw m3 ptg race car. (traitor) j/k brandon. he bought my frost leather electric-heated seats from me. so he picked them up.

so if ya see a daytona blue performance with black interior and frost leather seats, say "whut up brando!!!"

Fixed side mount brackets. Did the installer just drill through the bottom of the Z?

hey jason,

if i didn't go with a full bucket, my second choice would be the reclineable RECARO SRD. had three sets of these in my lifetime.

the best reclineable seat imho.

too bad they're getting relaced by the RECARO SPEED.

Looks good John.

Just curious, why did you go with fixed seats?

hey victor-i've always had reclineable aftermarket recaros. i've always wanted a set of buckets and love the feel of them. the only thing bad about them is getting in and out. it's a pain in the ***, but i will sacrifice the the getting in and out with the performance of the seat. the seats just hug you. i was about to get a set of "recaro racer 99 spg" since i was gettign a good deal on them, but side visibility would of been a pain and getting in and out would of been even harder. below is a pic of the recaro racer 99 spg.

jdmz33-are those seats you sell exact copies of the recaro spg, but in carbon fiber? they look good. also, are the seats you sell FIA approved?

bebopin spike-thanx for the compliment.

the recaro racer99 is the ultimate race seat. none better. looks ugly out of the car, but in the car it's the part. this seat hugs you like crazy!!!!

here is a couple of pix of them in a porsche gt-3.
