Default Center Console Paint

Hey guys, I have a couple of scuff marks on my dash just above my double din unit and to the right of the cubyhole . I wanted to know what you guys do for little stuff like that. I called nissan and they suggested to purchase the entire center console . The scuffs are only 2 about 2inches long. I wanted touchup paint but didnt know where i should get it. I know it can be done just need to know where to get it. So can anyone help? Thanks in advance

I cannot see any type of touch-up paint working on the center console. Because of the textured surface I think it will end up looking worse.

Here are your options (IMO):
  • Replace with a new/used center console
  • Paint the entire center console

Most of the painted center consoles I've seen have been sanded down to a flat surface, though I've never done it personally so I can't tell you if they are also using a bondo type product as well.

I was looking for pictures of this for a long time. Depending on your color it can look really tacky IMO. I just bought one waiting for it to come in from a member on here, should look good with a double din in there. Since it's hard to find I'll help you out and show you the pictures I found. The one I bought is silverstone, same color as the car....I think it should look good.

Thats awesome, how was this achieved? I never thought it would be as hard to find just touch up paint for such a small ding but Nissan said no. But this panel looks great. So how much does a new one cost?

It is sanded down to a smooth finish, and painted.

When i had scuff marks on mine, all i did was paint the whole center console with black primer. It ended up matching the rest of my interior so i was cool with it.

You painted just where you needed it or the entire console? Marker or actual paint? I am having a bit of a time trying to get just the outer shell of the console to buy lol. With as little as a scuff mark I have i cant justify paying 300 for a new one.

you actually just touch up on the spot that scratched. if you want then i can post a pic of the bottle of paint i got from the fabric store. it is very close to perfect to color match.

it just need to be diluted it in water then dab on the bad spot with a cheese cloth.

pm me and i can get you details tonight once i get home. actually hahah i can send you some of the paint in a plastic bag and ship it to you if you want .since i bought like a 6oz bottle but still have like so much of it left.
