Default Rear Wiper Removal/gotplugs

So I have been reading this DIY. And I have realized that I dont want a huge home depot faucet sticking out on my car..... I saw a site in the thread that sells a prepainted kit......but does anyone have any experience with the seller (gotplugs.com)

....what would I buy to cover up the top spray nozzle anyway.

No response to emails. And people have reported being scammed by the guy. I heard he stopped making them at the end of 2007, but never took down his site or paypal checkout.

I believe this "gotplugs" guy is long gone...

I used a chrome hole cover designed to cover up an unused sprayer hose location in a sink. It was nearly an exact color match and came with a rubber gasket. I just left the spray nozzle in place.

Something like this:

IF you go to the front of your car there are two plugs on the side of the hood latch release. Use that plug, and replace it with something less aesthetically pleasing.

Check it out and you'll know what I mean.

Ok borrowed this pic from GTNPU Z:

See where the little "Z" on the bottom left of the picture? Now go up about 10' o clock and you'll see a plug. It does nothing but keep hot air from escaping to the front of the car. I took that off and replaced it with some heat-resistant foil tape.

Ah...maybe I should have read your post more carefully.

I actually used this cap to cover the hole left by the rear-windshield wiper removal. It fits perfectly with a little silicon sealant.

I haven't removed the nozzle, in case I ever get a serious dust storm, but now that you mentioned it... subscribed for more info.

I used a plastic hole plug from Lowes. I don't care to paint it, and I'm happy with it.

This is the only picture I have of the rear area showing the plug, sorry.

Got the plastic cover from Ace Hardware. Painted it to match it as closely as possible.

I used "gotplugs.com" a while ago and had absolutly no problem with them. I guess it's just hit or miss. I was one of the lucky ones. It looks better than the sink hole cover. The kit from them that I got sits much more flush on the hatch

They do look better, but I haven't had any luck with "gotplugs" - how long ago was it?

This is one of the easiest mods I have done yet. Same as above Lowes plug painted. No leaks at all just remember to cut off some of the threads on the sink plug so you can clear the plastic on the hatch. I also read about a 1/2 inch rubber gromet that fits in the squirter hole but have not looked into that to much.
