Default Decals for 350Z's ---NEW Z350 GT owner here. HELP!

So this is my first Z car: a 2006 350Z GT magnetic black. God do O
I love this car. Well I was wondering if anyone makes a "GT" logo for those of us with Grand Touring editions. the Nismo looks sweet on the right side of the back and i'd love to put a GT there. Also, the dealership tried telling me that the spoiler was an 'aftermarket' spoiler, but when I found the original purchase order, there it was....direct from Nissan. The paint is peeling off around the edges. My car has 22k miles, and has a 100k extended Nissan warranty. Will they fix the spoiler and paint?

Any other advice for a new Z350 GT owner? I bought leather wipes to keep the leather looking good; I use the new Castrol Edge full synthetic oil, um, any other upgrade advice?

Also, I just had someone open up their door and dent my car door just a tiny bit. How much should that cost to get fixed?

The front of my car has some paint chips from the road, and it being black: you can see every one...How much would that cost to get repainted?

ANY UPGRADES RECOMMENDED WOULD BE APPRECIATED! THANKS!

as far as upgrades, if this is your first "sports" car you might want to get used to it in stock form. if youre looking for lower cost upgrades you can feel I would recommend the JWT popcharger intake. I got mine thru a vendor here around $98. Plenum spacers are popular but I havent bought one yet, still waiting on the tax return
Everyone is gonna have different opinions on whats best or whatever. just hang around the board and do your research, then make an educated decision on upgrades.

Beautiful car man, enjoy it! I fall more and more in love with my Z everytime I see it.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will look into the JWT Popcharge intake. I get daily 'whoa's' from people who see the car. It makes me laugh! I love what a nice car can do!\

Any other upgrades? I'm open to any/all suggestions!

Agreed!

If this is your first "sports car", or even first RWD car, the stock power will be plenty enough to get you into trouble as is. You would be amazed, it seems like every other day someone on this site starts a thread "it was raining...and...and...here's my crashed Z" type of story. More power will just exacerbate the issue.

As far as your mods...that really just pertains to what you want with the car. There are a lot of people on this site, and each of us differs with our taste just like anything else. You may be the kind of guy thats happy with an aftermarket sound system and some wheels, or maybe you want to get coilover suspension and a roll cage.

Just browse the site and see what other people are doing and what parts and services are available and make up your own mind on what suits your need and desires.

if you're looking for fairly affordable performance upgrades... Here's what i've done thus far. I have an 08 Base 6MT. I've got Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, AEM dual intakes, GT Spec front tie brace and rear tie brace. The GT Spec braces are amazing! Beautiful car! Good luck with it!

the z is very sexy and has good power stock but man i can't stand stock audio. get new speakers, sub(s), amp(s), and a high end head unit and you wont regret it!
after you get used to how it performs upgrade the performance.
individualize looks as you please but as i said.. it's very sexy stock

You already have a "double spoiler" on it. Doesn't get more ghetto than that. You can only go up from here.

I have the exact same car as you do and yes the 06+ GT does come standard with a spoiler. But to the best of my knowledge, the one you have isnt it. This is what it should look like.

As far as the GT emblem goes. Courtesy Parts has one on special right now. I am almost tempted to tell you to put it on and make sure to post pics of it.

...Double spoiler? That is not a double spoiler. It is a Seibon Carbon authentic carbon fiber spoiler manufactured of grade A carbon fiber and features rolled edges. It is as high quality as it gets.

L2P noob.

Please don't post on peoples threads when you don't know what you are talking about. At a car show in Orlando, FL, the car with this spoiler won 'best of show'.

hate to burst your bubble, but that is a seibon knock-off replica of a NISMO version 1 spoiler. and using the term "grade a carbon fiber" when referring to seibon products is really a joke. nothing authentic about that piece at all.

the "double spoiler" was referring to that useless window spoiler.

the spoiler you have in your pictures is what appears to be a NISMO USDM spoiler (the wing tips do not touch the body like the JDM spoiler and the seibon one does) so if you was told it was a seibon, you was told wrong

I stand corrected! Thanks for the information, you are exactly right, Nissan did install this spoiler direct from factory.

What else differs between the GT and the Nismo? What is upgradable and what is not?

Thanks for the information and keep the comments rolling!

You have a very nice looking Z bro. And welcome to the family. First and foremost, I would get rid of the USDM spoiler and either stay with the stock lip spoiler or Blitz lip spoiler, which, will add a very subtle and yet a different look to your car. Then suspension would be the top priority to give your car a more aggressive look. You can then branch off to see which direction you want to take. Good luck and you have an amazing ride.

P.S...I would suggest not to add "GT" emblem onto your car because it would look very tacky. We all know that you have a GT just by looking at your wheels and Braking setup. No need to let the rest of the world know that you have a "GT" model.
