Default Dealership Paint and Install Quote - 1491 reasonable?

I recently bought a kit for my Z. After extensive research and many calls, I could not find anyone around my area trust worthy enough to complete the task for me. So as last resort, I went to the dealership and spoke to the collision center and was quoted for $1491.04 total. This includes fitting, painting, and install. Now the reason I went to the dealership is because they have done other costumers rides with custom body kits and of course who better to work on a Z than Nissan tech/mech. Should I pull the trigger? Is the price reasonable enough? Please provide your input. Thank you once again members.

Alright so is this the average cost of body paint and install? Specially for aftermarket work?

sounds like a good price if it is quality work. and just because it is a dealership dosent mean they do good work. i had a friend who had part of his car repainted at a dealer and he had to go back 4 times to get it painted again because the paint would chip or bubble off

That actually sounds reasonable. Ridiculously reasonable for a stealership. The big plus is you don't pay until it's done and if it isn't perfect you make them redo it until it is.

That is definitely a plus for me and a big factor in making my decision as well. So it's fair to say that I'm not getting screwed (too much) by the dealership?

Sounds like a great price considering it's a dealer. Do it.

Along with quality and fitment, price greatly depends on the number of pieces being installed. Is it a full kit or partial? Not knowing that, I don't know what to tell you.

It's the full kit
And here's a quick run down on what they expect to do:
Body Labor 9hrs @ $50 = $450
Paint Labor 12.2 hrs @ 50 = $610
Paint Supplies 12.2 hrs @ 32.00 = $390
Misc = $10
Total w/ sales tax 1491.04

The Mossy Collision center/bodyshop gets my recommendation. They didn't install my kit, but they repainted the rear bumper and quarter panel.

The body shop rates you guys get in the US sicken me.. You would be lucky to get a bumper installed and painted for that price in Alberta, Canada.
