Angry I Painted My Damaged Front Bumper

After looking at my chipped bumper for months I decided to take a shot at repairing it. Looks like crap in my opinion. I have a court date for my case against the towing company that damaged it on the 20th of April. Have to keep my fingers crossed that I win and get this repaired professionally.

Any suggestions on how to improve the job until April?

Its been a rough year for the Z.

This summer a good friend of mine (girl) and I had a falling out, the result: She puts a 6in scratch on the front center of the hood.

This winter someone in the Wal-mart parking lot keyed the hell out of the trunk lid (This Wal-mart lot is a regular meeting ground for busted domestics with neon lights and Jensen subs, and Civics with unpainted body kits and erector set spoilers)

Luckily Im starting work with MetLife in the next month so I'll have some cash to fix all the damage and upgrade some components....

Wow that is some bad luck man. If you can't afford to do it professionally right now, maybe you could just paint it black for the time being? I don't see you being able to even remotely match the factory SS color.

I agree, I'm going to sand it down and paint it black- Coming close to the OEM color is never going to work and anything else looks just plain bad.

I don't need proof of damage, there were multiple sets of photographs taken by both myself, the city, and the towing company. Since I commenced the lawsuit I was inclined to submit my high quality pictures with specific areas of damage highlighted.

UPDATE:

I received a call from the attorney representing Richard Berman V.P. of Berman's Towing Inc. stating that his client would like to settle the case to avoid wasting time and money. They are willing to part with $350 of the nearly $700 I requested. I requested time to consider and plan on calling back with an answer in the next few days.

$350 is a low ball -50% of my asking price cost.

Any suggestions??

Say $550.

Shouldn't cost more than that to repaint a stock front bumper.

Find an automotive paint supply place around you and get them to mix you up a can of paint from your factory color code. they can sell you a pint which will be enough for at least 2 rattle cans, and they should be able to fill the cans there for you.
