I'm repainting mine. I figure it took me since 05 to get the scratches I have (including a healthy one right in the middle of the cubby door) so, maybe I'm more careful and it will take a lot longer....

see that's what happens when you want to get a quicky in the Z and you have to sit in the passenger seat while she tries to grip on to something... too bad it was my center console! I joke I joke... I kid I kid.

It starts as a small scratch and when I would clean the whole console it would just continue to flake, and flake, and flake some more. I think the cleaner I was using was too abrasive (mcguire's) and it left me in the predicament I was in.

Thanks Soni for the complement and I'll try to photoshop a how to guide for you guys this weekend when I don't have classes.

NO ish, that was my thought. My 03' still looks like it did when I rolled it off the lot and sees driving time almost every day.

There were like 12 of them. They were coming at me with swords and knives and really sharp pencils. I fought them off the best I could, but they continued to hack away at my dash. I'd fought most of them off, but there was this one guy they kept calling "Slash" that busted past me and did all that damage. I was killed..."but I got better!"

Actually, I've had my console in and out a zillion times and didn't pay close enough attention to what I was doing. Some of what looks like scratches is actually dust, but overall, it's pretty messed up.

lol I'm still trying to figure that out myself. I put the springs back into place but now my door won't open all the way. I'm assuming that I did it wrong and am still waiting for some help on that one lol.

anyone?

It looks much better than your scratched dash, but I'm not sure about fake carbon fiber fabric.

I think I would have to see it in person for a final opinion.

Props for being original though.

I don't get what you guys are doing to your dashes with all the marks. My car is almost 2 years old and has not a single mark and looks new.
