SEARCH there are many threads. Its not worth it, just trade it in for a black one. If you really insist on spending money and lowing the value of your 2007 Z then it will probably be like 4-5k for a good one.

If you gave us the paint code for Sparkly Black we might be able to give you a better quote.

Why would you want to get rid of San Marino blue? That is one of the best colors to come on a Z. They are pretty rare. I've only seen 2-3 and I live in S Florida were everywhere you go you see a Z.

i went with magnetic black. there will be extra wetsanding to get all of the orange peel out and getting recleared twice. This shop did my old show car and it looked amazing. can't wait to see how deep and glossy black will be.

My paint was good before being stock but super black has no pearl in it. it's very hard to keep it perfect like i want it.

I should have pictures in a month or so. it should take them a little over a month from tomorrow to get it finished. That might seem a bit long but i told them not to rush anything. The car will be fully disassembled and done right. I wanted to keep with an OEM nissan color. Magnetic black has a nice pearl to it but i hated how Nissan's clear coat is. So with a better clear, it should look amazing.

Yeah, good jobs take time. I told my body shop the same thing when I got my side redone to fix the keying scars.

^ man your making me want to repaint my car black u punk lol. It was the color i originally wanted. Only thing keeping me from doing it is $ and the rarity and hotness of Brickyard lol. Saving up to get the front end repainted tho, hopefully they use better clearcoat on it. Rockchips on nissan paint is such a PITA.

Just remember, especially with paint jobs: you get what you pay for. 2-3k will get you a decent job that will only last you 2-3 years....

i believe it's taken. i tried that before. lol

yeah, my bumper was flawless besides that rock chip(big *** rock too). That's what i'm saying, aftermarket paint is much more durable. it was never even scraped at all at the bottom.

when you get the funds, you can do it too.

what part of the paint do you think only last 2-3 years?

for 2-3k, thats enough to paint the car back to oem specs with better paint. paint the 350z anyways and it will last 5 years minimum. that's going by insurance's labor/parts book.
