Default gaps when I reinstall Z headlights on a 03 touring

Hi everyone,

Well I'm at wits end. I ripped the headlights out of my Z about 2 weeks ago to do a clear diffuser, bulb changes and fix (as best I could) Nissan poor quality lenses that fog up. By the way Plastic X is fantastic. Any hoo I am trying to reinstall the headlights and I am getting a slight gap where the fender touches the headlight. Also the headlight upper corner dips in and does not sit flush with the upper part of the fender.

I have replaced headlights on a ton of my cars in the past and this one seems to be the most pain in the *** one to get them to align back up to the bumper.

I'm getting back my new bumper with a vizage type B lip from the shop this weekend and would love to have all of this squared so I can acut drive the damn thing lol.

Not sure if these cars have a slight gap (never really paid attention before I removed the headlights) but I just want to be done with this. Been trying to adjust everything all this week and I'm finally admitting defeat and asking for help. Also does anyone know how the u shape bracket goes back on the headlights assembly? I thank anyone and everyone in advance and offer free beer for those who solve my dilemma. Thanks again.

Also please disregard the thick layer of dust on the Z. My S gets the garage but I’m getting work done on it so I threw the Z in there for the winter. She will sparkle by this sat if it doesn’t rain lol.

Mike

That bracket is held onto the front bumper via two plastic push-in button-type fasteners. It ends up being between the bumper's ends and the fender. It then bolts below the headlight via one bolt.
