Matte/Flat Black Z's?
Hey I was wondering if anyone out there has pictures of a matte/flat black Z (vinyl wrap)? I did a search and couldn't find anything :/ except someones bad paint job..
Anyways, heres an example on a GT-R.
I was curious how'd it look on a Z

I hope you don't plan to daily your car with Matte/satin finish.... Think about it this way.. you get a scratch, and you can't just sand and buff it out... you have to get the WHOLE panel resprayed. Not very cost Effective but it looks amazing when done right.
I love that Do Luck Z, those wheels just pop out so much with that paint scheme.

my G was done in a Lambo Balloon white with a Satin finish. My bodyshop guy has done a few drift cars in satin finishes and he actually says that satin clearcoats once fully dry harden a lot more than regular clearcoats. This makes it more resistant to rock chips, and minor scratches but obviously not immune. I've actually noticed when touching it and trying to dig in with my nail that it isn't as soft as my stock color was prior to paint. Heres a link to my thread.

^^ Yes Agreed. Many people however opt and go the cheap way and just use a one step Matte Black paint or Satin Paint. If you want it done right... Go with the Two step and you won't have to worry. I really like that Satin White finish. I'm also really starting to like that lexus white they have on the IS's, its like a mettalic Blue/ white pearlescent.
^ yea you're right, I had to pay extra just for the satin clearcoat since it's considerably more expensive than regular clearcoat. But I had it done right, so I'm happy thats for sure.
the Lexus color you're referring too is called Lexus StarFire Pearl, that was actually my second choice if the Lambo color codes didn't work out, but I called my local Lambo dealership and they were surprisingly friendly and willing to help me out so yea, lol... I would have thought they'd tell me to screw off.

How much did it end up costing (paint + labor) if you don't mind me asking?
