Default How do I install veilside side under wings?

Hey guys, I got a set of carbon knock-off veilside side under wings. I don't see how they are supposed to attach. What kind of hardware did your's come with? Any suggestions?

When I had authentic underwings they were already pre-drilled which I'm guessing yours are not. So break out the measuring tape...measure where you need to drill the holes...use your bolts from the stock sideskirts and mount it up....that's how the authentic ones were. Although you may want to use some 3M tape on the upper part of each wing to stick to the sideskirt.

Do they just have 2 holes per piece?

if you know where they are supposed to go, underneath the stock side skirts, you can mark the top of stock mounting bolts with a little bit of easily removable grease or paint and put the underwings up against it. besure the tape the top side of the underwing where you are supposed to drill with masking tape, this will easily mark the spot where ur supposed to drill, and keeps the FRP from splintering bad when drilling... that should mark the general location of the two holes that you need to drill. then measure the distance between the to underneath the car, and using that distance, confirm the two grease marks on the underwing.

measure twice. drill once. best to use progressively larger drill bits to make a clean hole. start with a pilot drill bit, then work your way up. high speed...

wear a mask and gloves as FRP / CF dust is itchy.

can't remember if two or three bolts fit on those pieces. Either way you'll now when you get them lined up. And Cheston's advice is some good ish about the grease/paint. Oh and about the FRP/CF dust....you do not want that on your skin or near/in your eyes.

I have used lipstick instead of paint/grease on the bolts. Of course the GF didn't like it

Where was this thread when I was looking for info to put mines on. I used a template, a very fine piece of card board, I then cut it the same with of a ruler and then with an ice pick or something similar punched a hole where the screws that are attached to the OEM sides go after you took the 3 screws in the back and the 2 screws in the front. And then, I took the template place it over the Veilside under-wing and drilled the hole. Good luck!

Also, there is a rubber piece in the back that needs to come off before you install the back ones.
