Help me pick side skirts!
Im torn between JDM Nismo and putting the OEM sides back on. Problem with the OEM sides is that I destroyed most of the white 'female' grommets that hold the skirt to the body and Nissan wants about $9 apiece for new ones. At that price I'll be spending a good chunk of Nismo JDM skirts just to put the OEM back on.
I'm also trying to determine whether OEM sides will look weird with Nismo rears...

OEM skirts will make the car look naked.
I don't like them at all. If you don't want Nismo, see Veilside 1, they're basically subtle lips. Or amuse, straight and simply. INGS N-spec are simple and neat as well.

Ings +1 N-Spec sides, this is MrToeKnee's ride, aerosync front with Ings+1 N-spec sides and rear.

This is a clean and streamlined look. This is the same setup I have going except for the rear, I have the nismo rear fins.

I wonder how the N-spec sides would look with my veilside V1 front lip. Anyone know how low the front end of the ings n-spec side skirt is? i.e. measuring from the front top corner down to the front bottom corner. One thing that I can't stand about my Greddy side skirts is that the front bottom corner of the side skirt is lower than the back bottom corner of the V1 front lip, so the illusion it gives is that the front end of my car is kind of jacked up too high off the ground.
Well I decided to take off the GReddy sides and put my OEM side skirts back on, and I have a set of Veilside V1 sides on order. The OEM skirts actually don't look too bad in my opinion, but they just curve under a little too much on the ends for my liking. I think the V1 sides will take care of that problem without making the car look too busy. From the profile shot the OEM sides actually flow really well with the V1 front lip. I must say it was refreshing to put these back on because I had forgotten how perfectly OEM parts fit. Thought I would post a few pics before the VS sides go on:

Update: Veilside V1 sides are the winner! I ordered FRP with the intention of painting them to match the car but they sent me the CF version by mistake. I told them what happened and they told me it was ok with them if I kept them, so I decided to put them on and see. I actually really like the CF look, I think it compliments the wheels pretty well. There is no other CF on the car but I actually think it looks ok like this - just enough to be an accent, nothing in-your-face or over the top. I'll post better pictures in media share when I get a chance.

Another thought I wanted to share, is that I think I am done buying replica aero parts. I've tried it a couple of times and getting them to fit properly is just painful. These authentic VS pieces gave me no issues - the holes were drilled in exactly the right places and they fit perfectly. To me it's definitely worth paying the extra money to be able to install these parts in my driveway without additional modification. Very positive experience all around.
