Can I fit a Manual shift **** on a AT?
I did this on my Bmw so I was curious if I can do it on my Z? Also can I put the Manual shifter boot where the usual AT shifter gate is?
Thanks

no, due to the fact that you need to depress the thinga magigger, you can't use a straight manual shifter, but you can buy an automatic transmission shifter, such as razo and momo as ray said, I'm not sure about the shifter boot, but I would be interested to know if they fit also.

JPizzle is right- no pushy, no shifty. The button is actually a wedge that slides over and forces down a rod that engages in a toothed ring. when you force the rod down against the spring, the rod end disengages from the teeth, allowing you to push or pull the shifter into a different gear. There is another pin that is connected to the key lock on the steering column and one on the brake pedal- ain't the US government clever?? Well, it reduces frivolous lawsuits... so when you are in park and do everything right the little rod can be pushed down and you can move into go.
Sorry, cant replace the function, only change the shape and color
