Default Machine Washing Car Cover

I left my car cover outside while it rained and during a windstorm. Its really dirty, and I refuse to throw it on the Z until I wash it because it has a bunch of little dirt fragments on it that might scratch my paint.

I didn't see a label on the cover that says its machine safe, how do you guys clean your car cover?

It's one of those covers that repels water, kinda like rain-X.

Thanks

Yes I wash my cover:

1. Front loading commercial machine
2. Little bit of laundry soap. Less is better
3. Tumble a few minutes in dryer
4. Dry on car
5. Apply Scotch Guard

i have the nissan Z cover. I've thrown it in the washing machine as davidv said with no issues. not sure on how a different brand cover would react.

My cover has the big Z on the hood so I think it's the nissan cover. Thanks!
