I tried searching the forum but must not be using the correct terms...

Anyway, I'm looking at grabbing a 2005 base model, and want to know if I can directly swap the headlights over to the 06+ HID projectors? I know wiring will be involved for the ballasts, but my only concern is cutting to make the 06 housings fit.

So are they or aren't they a direct swap?

 

As far as I know they swap right over fitment wise and you have to do some adjusting to your factory harness to make it work right with the 06+. I've been looking for as much info as possible on this matter since I'm looking at doing this as well. Hope this helps and others chime in!

 

There is no cutting involved. The housings will bolt right up
