Default 3M Rock Guard Static.

Has anyone used that clear 3M Rock Guard on the hood and bumper for paint protection and found that dust sticks to it and collects much faster than the rest of the paint? After one day you can see the so called "clear guard". I phoned the installer and he told me it is static but could not tell me hwo to elimiminate it.

Has anyone had this done and noticed this problem? What did you do?

Yeah. Wash it. You are much better off with the clear bra than without. If it is just dust, I would suggest picking up a California Duster. Amazing product.

I have it on my car and it usually gets dirty at the same rate as the rest of the car. I keep it in a garage when at home, but maybe it does attract that yellow crap more that falls from the trees in May.

Other than that I haven't had any problems.

If its strictly dust and nothing else, you could use a waterless wash or some kind of quick detailer like "Klear Kote" but I would just learn to live with it because its better to have a dirty car than a scratched one.
