Default Alternative Side Skirt Clips

I need to re-mount my OEM side skirts but the clips / grommets that were used originally were destroyed when I removed them to mount aftermarket skirts. Replacements are very expensive from Nissan so I am wondering if anyone has come up with an alternative. Anyone?

Default Clips

My dad is a bodyman and whenever I see him in his garage he has clips and pins of all shapes and sizes. You could try an import salvage yard or a bodyshop that works on imports. Just a thought, I have been there.

Right that's the 'male' part that mounts to the side skirt. The problem is the 'female' grommet that snaps into the car itself, into which the 'male' clip engages. The grommet is like $9 which is ridiculous, so I'm trying to come up with an alternative solution altogether.

Yeah I know and I'm almost at that point...but $100 for a few ounces of plastic is enough to make me want to look for an alternative. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one that I can find.
