Default PlastX FTW!! w/before & after pics

picked up a bottle a walmart for about $6 even though i thought my headlights were in decent shape... with a power buffer i would've gotten better results but for $6 and about 15 minutes, i'm all smiles

update:
so, after 3 months my headlights were looking pretty bad again and i decided to try a different method... i picked up a orbital sander/buffer and some turtle wax polishing compound and then went to work on the headlights...

the double pics were from the plastx 3 months ago and the single pics are from the turtle wax... i dont think i need to tell you which one is before or after...

i did not use the plastx at all this time, but still like the product and price... turtle wax polishing compound was $2.28

I have a bottle of it and didn't really see much improvement.
Did you wet sand as well? Maybe I'll mess with it tonight again, looks great!

well its rainy here so the before pics were of the headlights somewhat damp... that would've made them look better/clearer than they actually were at the time... so the product definitely worked and i was only using terry clothes and elbow grease... if i had a powerball, i think i could've gotten them back to 95% of what they looked like brand new...

if it wasn't raining right now, i'd go outside and take some after after shots... when it let's up i will...

I use it twice a month. I'd definitely suggest doing what Nexx does and using a bit after each wash rather than having to sit down and make the light restoration a project.

Using this twice a month becomes a real PIA. I've been there done that. PlastX is ok, but I got tired of doing this every time I washed my car. A friend of mine at work recomended using this other stuff that they sell at Walmart, and this was by far better than PlastX. I tell you PlastX doesn't even come close to this. I did it on my Z and my wife Benz, and the lights look 100% brand new. Here is a link to the web site, but I bought mine at a local Walmart. The best part is that I only had to put it on one time.

I use PlastX on my lenses about every 2 weeks and keeps the yellow haze off.

I just gave both headlights (exterior housing) a treatment of zaino plastic cleaner & polish. Applied twice per side, and I am happy with the results. I wasn't sure if the hazing observed was on the inside or outside the housing (figured most of it was on the inside due to slight fogging). I decided to give it a try on the exterior and the results were similar to the OPs.
