Hi ,

If your 350z came originally with halogen then your bulb type is

2005 NISSAN 350Z (With halogen capsule headlamps)

Low beam headlamp
H7
High beam headlamp
H1

If your 350z originally came with HID then your bulb type is
2005 NISSAN 350Z (With HID (high intensity discharge) headlamps)

Low beam headlamp
HID-D2R
High beam headlamp
H7

For D2R, you just need the bulbs in the color you want and your high beams you can change to HID too.

Please let me know what color you want for low beam and which bulb type you have depending on if HID or not.

I can get you the link after, each conversion kit is $60 shipped within US after coupon code: lexussp-w

Thanks~

I have the 5000K kit installed.

The Good: Great looking finish because of the easy to use provide hardware, no flickering, great price.

The Bad: The ballasts could be thinner and smaller so they fit into tighter spaces. Let me know if you ever make smaller ballasts. I will definitely upgrade if they will fit underneath the headlamp housing like the OEM.

What!!!??
What are the dimensions of the slim kit? That information would be extremely helpful. I need to know so I can measure underneath the headlight to tell if the slim ballast will fit.
Also, I just bought this kit a week ago! Is there any way I can return the ballast and pay the difference to get the slim one? Why wasn't the slim one advertised in this thread? I would've paid $75 for that kit instead of $60 for the big ballast, especially if the slim kit would fit underneath the headlamp.

Please tell me the dimensions and I will tell you if it fits. Then you can better support this forum and point others towards the slim kit (if it fits).

HI,

Sorry we only advertise the special for the regular because it's too much to list on the forum, but the slim one was available on our site. The slim is half the size of the regular, half the thickness and just a bit smaller in dimension.

If you want and exchange, we will need you to send us back the regular ballast, the best way is purchase a new kit and return the old one for refund after you upgrade it Thanks!

I put mine in a week ago and its great at night I got the 6000K. Easy install and everything came out great. On the other hand my friend put his in and after three days, his is zapping and will not turn on until he turns the headlights on and off 4-5 time so we're going to see whats going on.

Hi,

We don't sell 55w for the following reasons

1.) It only gives 15% more brightness
2.) it's 2-3 times more expensive
3.) it's faster to burn out the bulbs and the ballast itself because of the higher and hotter output.

Therefore it's not worth carrying the 55w. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

Here is my 8000K Slim Ballast HID kit I ordered from www.hidextra.com

It cost me 75 dollars shipped, and came in 2 days just like promised
I did a quick writeup here, but mainly I followed this http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Tutorial:HID_Conversion
^ Not sure why that is crossed out, just search google for 350z hid install - It's the first link that comes up

Sorry for the shitty pics, was taken with my Iphone 2G

I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND GETTING NEW LED PARKING LIGHTS!!! If you don't your going to have **** color and the nice new HID color as well

^ My Z before the install

^ Slim ballast mounted

Inverter mounted TAKE NOTE of the red / black wire going into the stock plug. Be, don't be stupid and think the plug on the end of the bulb is to plugin into your stock plug. It's not, it goes into the ballast.

^ DO NOT DO THAT. I was stupid, and cut the washer off before i realized the Z has the headlight sealed by the grey housing.

^ Drilled hole for the washer so the wires can pass through.

^ You need to drill into the plastic grey housing that is used to seal the back of headlights. Install the washer that came on the bulb like so

^ HID system installed on the drivers side

^ HID 8000k powered up vs the stock (on the left)

^ Another shot

^ HID 8000K vs Halogen

^ Another compare shot

^ LED Parking light

^ How 8000K HID's (Slim Ballast) look at night

^ Another night shot

^ Shot showing the wonderful spread!

And that's all for now! Hope you like my new 8000K HID's with new LED parking lights!
