Default Veilside V1 Front / Side height

I have a Veilside V1 front lip and I'm thinking about adding (replica) Veilside V1 side underwings. Can anyone with this setup chime in regarding how high the front, side underwing sits relative to the back corner of the front lip? What I'm concerned about is having the front side underwing sit lower than the front lip. Thanks in advance....pictures will be appreciated!

Don't worry about it, the underwings will not hang lower than the front.

When I had the authenic V1 front with replica sides, the V1 front sat quite low.

I have both the Veilside V1 lip and cf under wings and the lip sits just a little bit lower than the under wings.

Thanks for the pics guys. Hopefully I can get these replicas to fit as well as they do in these pictures.

Waizz, whose replicas did you have? Mine are from M1 and I was just out in the garage test fitting them onto the OEM side skirts, which are currently off the car. This is the fit I got on the rears....doesn't quite make sense to me. There is a huge gap between the wing and the side skirt where it wraps around the bottom. In yours and calin's photos it looks like the wing fits right up against the side skirt. Any thoughts?

It is pretty well known that fake parts are mass produced without any concern for quality control.

That might be the issue...

what sucks is if one gets cracked, you have to get all four just to replace the cracked one.

Yes, I know. These were being sold for a very reasonable price, reasonable enough for me to decide that they were worth the risk. I don't want get into another authentic vs. replica debate, I'm just curious whether this is how the authentic parts fit since I've never seen them in person, nor have I seen a picture taken at this angle. From the profile view they look correct, which is what piqued my curiosity.

EDIT: Brian of course I understand your position, and understand that you probably don't want to answer my question.

^ ^ Thanks for the pic. I think that confirms it, mine do not fit right. I guess it's time for plan B. Thanks for all of the input everyone.

By the way, beautiful Z!

Yeah no pre-drilled holes. I'll look out for your pictures, I'm curious to see how it looks all mounted up.

Wow that fitment looks horrible

That looks like it's the rear right of the sideskirt. Are you sure thats not the piece that goes on the front left? Just a thought

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the rear right piece. The front pieces have a "step" on the flange that mounts to the bottom of the side skirt (where the screws go through), to match the contour of the side skirt. The mounting flange on the rear pieces is flat the whole length.

In this picture the mounting flange is bottomed out against the mating surface on the bottom of the side skirt, so it can't fit any better. I'm thinking the only way I can get these to look remotely correct is to cut off that mating flange where the screws would go, and rely on 3M tape to hold them on, although that's probably just asking for trouble.

You definitely have it in the right place/side thats how a friend of mine skirts were, they were a bad replica, did you get them pre painted? I say sell those definitely do not cut them and 3M them that wont work if anything take them to a body shop and see it they can get them to fit better.

Yeah they are pre-painted. I actually bought them from another member on here who said that he originally tried to fit them and had issues, so then vendor sold him another pair that fit the same way but then he somehow figured out how to fit them properly. So in the end, his story was that he had a good set all along, just didn't know how to fit them properly. I think my next step is to go back to the guy who sold them to me and see if he has any bright ideas...
