Default Rear Defrost Click

Whenever I turn on or off the rear defrost it makes a clicking noise. Almost like an electrical relay or something. Is this normal? Anyone else's Z do the same thing?

Yup, there's a relay in the back hatch area on the passenger side IIRC. The heater element actually draws a pretty good amount of power, rather than run it through the switch they run it directly to the relay. By switching the relay on/off it ultimately controls the power to the heater element.
