Hey peeps, here's my ride:



From the pics I've seen, both the carxs kit and the one I used are pretty good. BOTH kits can achieve a 90-degree look. It's the Z-s door panels that are the problem. Unless you're willing to modify the door panels, you can't get the doors to go 90-degrees. My particular kit isn' t painted, but it's made of chromoly steel and comes nickel plated ("for the show look"). Mine is a weld-on application, so theoretically, it should be pretty durable and reliable over time. It can be returned to stock; however, there is obviously a lot more work invloved to do so. And it'd be a lot messier than carxs's bolt-on kit.

thackattk, is durablity an issue with the bolt-on kit? I figured that if you have the doors raised for long periods of time, it may put stress on the bolt areas.

 

Where would I get this installed at? I am about to buy the carx's kit. I live in AZ anyone know of a good place to get the kit put on at?

 

Man this is awesome.

I like it cause your doors go straight up. There are a lot of gullwing door conversions, but most of them go up diagonally, like Mercedes SLR. Those doors take too much space.
But these Lamborghini doors take much less space, and are as great.
Wonder how much they cost here...

The word for this style door is called a "scissor-style door," not "lambo doors."

I am already seeing these doors popup (literally) on Civics and Accords.. classy.

with 350zya... I also count 5, but as I said, i cannot order before November... probably after I get paid on the 15th.

Still I think $1700 is a much fairer price if we're providing 5 guaranteed sales. Also, if we manage to get 10+ people, I'm think it should drop even a little lower... maybe $1650.

OK.. The best deal I can get is $1699 SHIPPED as long as I can get 5 orders! This deal is not from carx. It's form carhookups.com I will be getting an URL soon. The guy at carhookups said they're on back order about 1 month. Once we give our credit card#, he will start the process. Once it is shipped, then the card will be charged. SO, Can I get 5 confirmed people? Some of you said you may need to wait till November. Well you can wait and still get the same deal but I need 5 NOW to get this going right away.
