Default Needing some seats(opinions too)

Firstly let me state I AM ON A BUDGET, secondly I NEED a seat because my oem is blown...the metal support where thigh goes is completely destroyed from the previous owner. I need a rec tie just to drive, its causing back aches and a sore ***.

They don't look as cheesy in person, my friend has them in his g35 and they look great in that classy interior. The cloth is nearly identical to the oem cloth. These are fairy inexpensive as well. The only thing is this company doesn't make a seat base for the car. They said its been test fitted and the factory base on the oem seats will work with only 4 holes being drilled.
Anybody have any experience fabbing up brackets and bases?

I attached a picture of the seat, they are less than 400 a pair with sliders, and thats shipped from a California based company, my cousin does upholstery for a living and he said he could do a solid black(the company was out of stock). Let me know what you think and about the seat base and bracket fabbing....thanks guys...

^ I think those look pretty cheap. If you're on a budget then no bride seats obviously. But sparco is not extremely expensive. Why not check them out. The torino's are pretty nice

seats = safety item. not something you want to go cheap on.

I completely agree and wanted to avoid it if i could, ive inquired on all of those seats the leather are sold and i don't want the same problem i have now with my clothers. And most people aren't willing to separate. I found some nice leather on eBay, oems, for 780 shipped im probably gonna go with those because by the time i by a harness bar and harnesses im gonna be a 1000 dollars in no matter what i buy.

Are your current seats electric or manual? Are the ebay oems electric or manual? Pep Boys has imitation black leather seats for $200 a piece that look better than those posted. I wouldn't buy either though.

my oem are cloth and manual...the eBay oems are electric, leather, and heated...im not gonna go cheap so i say screw the budget and go back with like new oems, i found the heated seat switch at a local junkyard, so that will be a better addition than after market racing seats

I got the Sparco R100's with sliders and bases for $982 shipped. Got them from a vendor on this site. Might want to look into it. I'll post up the vendor in a few just in case you're interested.

If you are going to spend a little more dont go back to OEM there are plenty of used aftermarket seats and not all require you to get a harness bar and all that... My brides came with seat belt inserts.

Something doesn't make sense: if your cousin does upolstery work, why not just have him fix the seats that are in the car?

Sure, the factory bases/sliders may work with some modding - assuming the widths line up. You may also find your head sticking out the sunroof with the height that could result.

Personally, I'd rather have an OEM seat than a cheap, just-because seat, any day of the week.

Sorry for confusing you, my driver side oem seat is, at least i think, unrepairable.
The side bolster is broken(the one where my @$$ sits) and years of the guy before me driving the car, pushed the metal support all the way through the bottom spring supports. Long story short more than five minutes in that seats causes me to need a massage.
I spoke to a guy at a local shop about some bride ergos newer models for whole sale price, or some heated leather power oem from an 05 with 10k on them...playing it by ear now.
