Don't metal shift ***** burn your hand in the summer and freeze it in the winter? I can't imagine how hot an aluminum **** would be when my rubber/plastic one is painful to hold when it's in direct sunlight.

ya they are hot in summer and cold in winter for like the first minute you hold it during winter they dont really get cold .... at least not in cali ...

It DOES get hot in the summer. I put a small white sock over mine when parked so I don't get branded.

The key is to remove your stock shift **** properly. Google "350z shift **** removal". You can possibly do damage when removing the stock **** if you don't isolate the shift lever.
