Default Paint shields

Let a friend try my Z yesterday and he backed onto a low concrete wall. Scraped the tire sidewall a little and scratched the area just in front of the rear tire. The damage is low and hard to see but I am **** and would like to fix it. It is the clear paint shield just in front of the rear tire that is scraped. Question is does this shield just peel off and where should I order a new one if I can. Dealer or is there a better aftermarket shield to be found. Is there a trick to applying new one. Thanks for any info.

If you're so ****... don't let other people drive your car.

I don't.

Peel it off and ask a dealer.

That is a factory application that is difficult to duplicate. 3M clear bra is a suitable substitute.

I ordered a new shield from Nissan for the damaged rocker panel clear shield today ,$25. On a factory installed shield will it pull off by just working a corner loose? Is it clear coated? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Dealer parts dept. knew nothing about removal or installation.

Utilize your finger nail, or a razor blade to work away the corner on the bottom of the sideskirt, then just tug and tug and tug bit by bit until it comes off. A heatgun will make it go faster, but I took off both of my clearbra things in about 10 minutes with just my index fingernail...
