I called my local Maaco shop and they said yes they would repaint the front bumper for $129.
When I saw the ad on TV I was like no way! And I called to make sure it's not a touch-up, they said it's a real front bumper paint job for $129.
Anybody have any experience with Maaco?

DO NOT DO IT!! No, I've never been to a maaco, nor would I ever go. I've seen their work and it's very low grade. They don't prep the parts correctly which means you'll get a crap paint finish and they NEVER put enough clearcoat on parts. Your front will end up having the paint flake off as soon as someone get near it or too much exposure to the outside. Remember, you get what you pay for. Do it right the first time and you'll end up spending less money.

Maaco is good for painting panels on a race car...lol Even at that you have to make sure the prep work is done correctly before you give it to them.
They don't clear coat.
They don't wet sand.

I had them paint my new bumper in my old eclipse. Needless to say, I paid like 150 and it pealed. I don't know what the hell they did but i am telling you the paint pealed, slowly starting at the bottom, and creeped its way to the top.
I had them do some work on the A pillar of my celica before i sold it, had some drip marks. Other than that it looked fine, sold it about a month after that so I dont know how long it held up
but yeah, no
but yeah, no
also i have seen times were we have done some paint work to cars after maaco and they have paint over paint, no primer and no sanding no nothing
I would not use Maaco on my Z. Now that's not to say i wouldn't use them period for my DD or a beater! I would however do as much body work myself before hand. My buddy got his entire work caravan re-painted white for a few hundred and this was years ago and it's still white.
"I'll paint any car for $49.95!"
