Default Interior roof handle (How?)

I can't think of the actual name of the part but you guys know the door 'handle' thats above each window on the interior that you can use to get in and out of the car or just hang on to when driving etc .. I noticed that my Z doesn't have these. I also think that installing these myself would end in them being snapped off when grabbing them to get out Has anyone installed these before? OR know who do goto to have them put on?

Another reason is also (besides me, I'm healthy as a horse) but my dad has a bit of trouble getting in and out of the car (he's stubborn and says he's fine) but looks like he struggles etc whenever I watch him hop out - he has issues with low blood cell count in his legs or something so often gets cramps etc .. although theres a heap of leg room in the Z's its just the getting in/out of that can pose an issue lol Thanks guys!

You could probably get something fabricated at a shop, and bolt it in. Might not be the prettiest, but cover it in some fabric that matches the interior, and it shouldn't be too bad.

Anything is possible. Look at roof support #73220. May be an ideal place for handle or strap.

Funny I come across this thread as I took a friend for a ride yesterday through some twisty back roads and he asked me why I didn't have the "oh ****" handle. It was rather humerous looking at him reach for the roof even after he knew there was nothing there.

lol I'm taking it into a Nissan dealer for its 2nd service this/next week so I might ask them if its possible to maybe have factory ones installed and see what they quote me. Dont want to risk doing it myself so I guess a Nissan dealer would be the best place to go, plus they'll service it at the same time

you do realize that when you go into the dealer and request they install them, they will look back at you with an empty look of stupidity; they won't even know how to respond to your request......

The Z's "oh ****" handles are on the doors. I would think they are there do to the close proximity the passenger's head would be to handles mounted from the ceiling/pillar of the car

Mines completely stock and it doesn't have them nor has any sign that they were there in the first place - all that there is is a hook behind the seat to hang a suit jacket or something

So no I don't think they'll look at me with a look of stupidity, maybe in USA eh? I'll be fine lol

The Aluminum (silver) handle in the picture is the "Oh $hit" handle. If it were on the roof the passenger's arm would be obstructing your side view and if you're any type of decent driver you DON'T want that.

I know exactly what you are talking about which is why I said the exact response I did to your idea.

This is one of the things you mentioned and I was letting you know that this is the purpose of the aluminum trimmed handle on the passenger door that I showed in the picture in my previous post.

I think he means your view would be obstructed if your passenger were to hold on to it
